Overview
Victoria Falls – known to locals as ‘The Smoke That Thunders’ – is one of the seven natural wonders of the world and the sheer power of this massive body of water plunging into the Zambezi Gorge is awe-inspiring and unforgettable. Lake Kariba, with its game-rich shores and islands, is an idyllic safari spot featuring mind-blowing sunsets; Hwange National Park is known for its huge herds of elephants. Also on show are the Historic City of Bulawayo, with the Matopos Hills in close proximity, topped with a cool tour of the Eastern Highlands, are birders paradise... this is all more than one can ask for on a tour of the World of Wonders Zimbabwe
Itinerary
Day 1
Victoria Falls
On arrival at the Victoria Falls International Airport, you will be met by our tour guide and transferred to your chosen lodge. You will finish your day with a spectacular sunset cruise on the Zambezi River.

Day 2
Victoria Falls
After breakfast, we enjoy a free walking tour of the Victoria Falls. You will stop at various vantage points to view the falls and walk through the rainforest whilst witnessing the rainbows and feeling the spray and thundering noise of water falling into the gorge. The rest of your afternoon will be spent at leisure, where you can book one of many activities with your guide.

Day 3
Victoria Falls Airport to Hwange National Park
Meet and greet at the airport and the trip starts. You will be transferred by road to Hwange National Park, a 2hrs30 approximately drive south of Victoria Falls, to enter into the Hwange National Park. Hwange National Park is another exceptional attraction covering over 14,000 square kilometers of wilderness. The park is full of different species of animals to see and it’s the biggest national park in Zimbabwe. You will pass the villages and the famous Hwange coal mine.

Day 4
Hwange National Park
Early morning game drives in the Hwange national park. Tea and coffee are served before the game drive or during the game drive. After the game drive, you will have your full breakfast from around 9:30 am to 10 am. It is the best time to see the big cats like lions, leopards, and cheetahs. Late in the afternoon, you will embark on an afternoon game drive.

Day 5
Hwange to Bulawayo
After breakfast, we depart for Bulawayo, the second largest city in Zimbabwe with wide tree-lined streets and surrounding beautiful parks. Within the city are many examples of early Victorian buildings which are maintained by the Bulawayo City council and landlords as heritage sites. We learn more about this beautiful country by visiting the Bulawayo National Museum, and railway museum before or after checking into our hotel.

Day 6
Matopos Full-day Tour
A full day will be spent exploring the area and some highlights include cave paintings and panoramas of the countryside at “View of the World”. We hope to catch a glimpse of black rhino and plains game, but this area is famous for its dense concentrations of birds of prey.

Day 7
Matopos to Great Zimbabwe
This morning after breakfast, we depart for Masvingo, The Ancient City, where we will be inspired by the Ruins of Great Zimbabwe built in 1200AD. The Ruined City of Great Zimbabwe is the largest and most significant ancient monument south of the Sahara and only second to the Egyptian pyramids. Here your guide will take you through the Acropolis, the Great Enclosure, and the Conical Tower in the afternoon, and you will enjoy the sunset.

Day 8
Great Zimbabwe to the Vumba Mountains
After an early breakfast, we leave Masvingo and head through the diverse scenery of farmlands, and rocky outcrops, and into the magnificent mountainous area of the Eastern highlands, also known as “The Little England” of Zimbabwe. On arrival at the hotel, you will be able to take in beautiful calm views and serene settings.

Day 9
Vumba to Nyanga Mountains
After an early breakfast, we leave Vumba and head through the diverse scenery of farmlands and into the magnificent mountainous area of the Eastern Highlands to Troutbeck Inn Nyanga. We will pass through the Mutarazi Falls. The afternoon is yours to explore or relax. Enjoy the hotel, and stroll down to the dam to watch the rainbow trout diving through the waters.

Day 10
Nyanga Mountains
Full-day Nyanga National Park tour (for your own account) which experiences a village from the stone ages known as Pit Huts, or a visit to a Rainbow Trout hatchery set in the natural pools of the sparkling river.

Day 11
Harare
Soon after breakfast we leave for Harare and proceed through Zimbabwe's Capital City. This tour exposes an impeccably clean city, bustling with busy shops, wide open streets, and warmly hospitable.

Day 12
On this day you will be transferred to the airport for your flights after breakfast.

Before using google maps you must go to Google maps api console and get an api key. After you do, please proceed to Appearance -> Theme options -> Configuration settings and enter your key in the field labeled "Google maps api key"
